Teeth Whitening

Teeth whitening products have gained a great deal of popularity over the years.

The number of teeth whitening products that have shown up in the various stores and supermarkets around the country are a sign of increased awareness of dental health, or at least the appearance of health.

Don’t be confused, teeth whiteners are no substitute for good oral hygiene, however, they are a great source to draw from as far as increasing the face value of your smile.

The type of teeth whitening product that you choose is important as some work much better than others.  There are teeth whitening gels, liquids and complete kits containing advanced cleaning agents as well as whitening agents.

The one thing that you do NOT want is an abrasive cleaner.  Abrasive cleaners that help to whiten teeth also take the enamel off your teeth.  This enamel is the protective covering that decreases the chances of cavities as well as tooth decay and disease.

With all the teeth whitening products that are available today it can be very confusing as to which teeth whitening product to use and what actually works.  Here is a great teeth whitening product comparison chart.

So why do teeth get darker anyway?  That’s a great question and leads us into our next section:  Tooth Whitening - Why Do Teeth get Dark?

There are many choices when it comes to teeth whitening.  There is teeth whitening toothpaste, professional teeth whitening products, teeth whitening gels, and systems that can only be found at dental offices such as zoom teeth whitening and laser teeth whitening.
